PHIL 242 - Philosophy of Human Nature(3 credits) Prerequisite: One 100-level, three credit course in philosophy or CRIT 111 This course will be a study of ancient and modern theories of human nature. We will investigate topics such as freedom and determinism, good and evil, race and gender, mind and consciousness, and society and politics. Each of these topics will be considered as a possible aspect of human nature, in pursuit of the notion of a human self. Offered alternate years. (CHUM)
