GEOG 315 - Environmental Applications in Spatial Analytics

(3 credits)
Prerequisite: GEOG 213 or GEOG 214
To better understand the natural world, we use spatial data and analysis methods which allow us to capture, analyze and model environmental processes. Remotely sensed data from UAVs, satellites and other methods, along with other geospatial data, have explicit location encoded in their structure, which allows us to combine and analyze the information within a spatial context. This course will give students hands-on experience in applied GIS and statistical methods for analyzing data sets to better understand earth processes. Offered annually. (CQUR)
