MUSC 153 - World Music Ensemble(1 credit)
This course will introduce students to world music through the process of music making within an ensemble setting. The course will help students expand their knowledge and understanding of a variety of music from around the world. Students will learn to identify some of the distinct characteristics of music from various parts of the world. Stylistic and structural elements, forms, and musical instruments will be explored. Students will use their own respective instruments to perform repertoire from various countries including India, Ireland, Africa, and the United States. Offered fall and spring semesters.
