ARTS 224 - Drawing as Visual Language(3 credits) Prerequisite: ARTS 125 or consent of instructor The course focuses on technical, aesthetic and conceptual development through the medium of drawing. Students will explore the relationship between perceived image and actual visual content in the drawing. As a way of augmenting the students’ perspective and knowledge of what drawing is, they will investigate the limitless creative interpretation of drawing and how the viewer recognizes drawings. Meets six hours weekly. Offered annually. Additional fee required.
