ENGL 355 - International Study Tour

(3 credits)
Prerequisite: Consent of Study Abroad Office; formal application required
This short-term international course offers students first-hand exposure to sites of cultural importance associated with diverse literary traditions, writing practices, and the study of language use in various settings around the world. Topics and destinations will vary, but may include linguistic diversity and multiculturalism in Hawaii, East Asian literature in China, travel writing in London, multilingualism and multiculturalism in Paris, among others. Each faculty-led course includes on-campus pre-departure sessions, lectures and activities at an international destination, and post-departure sessions at BSU.
