PHIL 212 - Classical Buddhist and Hindu Philosophy(3 credits)
Prerequisite: One 100-level and one 200-level course in philosophy; or consent of instructor
This course examines some of the central ideas and issues found in past and contemporary Vedanta, Yoga, and Buddhism, especially as they illuminate Asian/Western misunderstanding and relationships. Emphasis will be placed on concepts of moral value, human nature, salvation, harmony and pluralism. Offered alternate years. (Formerly PHIL 307) (CGCL; CHUM; CMCL; CWRT)
