WGSS 240 - Critical Perspectives in Women’s and Gender Studies

(3 credits)
This course introduces students to the historical background and theoretical frameworks of women’s studies. Central to the course is an analysis of the range of feminist scholarship, and the intersections of gender, race, class and sexuality. Students will examine contemporary issues in women’s studies and the implications of feminist thought for society and the individual. Offered fall and spring semesters.
