BIOL 425 - Population Ecology(4 credits) Prerequisite: BIOL 225 with a minimum grade of “C-” or consent of instructor
Corequisite: BIOL 425L The dynamics and evolution of populations are examined. Topics to be covered include models in population biology, population growth, density dependent and density independent growth, population genetics, evolution of life histories, species interactions, competition, predator-prey interactions, host-parasitoid interactions, disease and pathogens, and population growth and regulation. Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly. Offered fall semester. (CWRM)
