ACFI 570 - Financial Information Systems Control(3 credits) Prerequisite: ACFI 200 or ACFI 241; and COMP 105 This course integrates business processes and procedures as they relate to an organization’s total information system. Students will study the design and implementation of information systems and the controls required to maintain the integrity of business information. Topics will include information systems, enterprise systems, e-Business systems, design of flowcharts, data flow diagrams, database management, internal control, computerized financial reporting and the impact of financial reporting on various elements of the organization. The purchase decision for hardware and software and exposure to various reporting packages will also be covered. Offered fall semester.
