SOCI 391 - Seminar: Social Data Analysis

Prerequisite: SOCI 390 with a minimum grade of “C-“
This course introduces students to statistical data analysis in the social sciences, especially sociology. The course emphasizes the acquisition of basic social statistical literacy. Students will learn the assumptions underlying statistical techniques, how to find and manage quantitative data, calculate and interpret statistical measures, use data analysis packages and read professional social science literature based on statistical data analysis.
