ARTH 206 - Global History of Architecture(3 credits) The built environment – buildings, landscapes and cities – is examined as a product of the interplay of sociocultural, political, economic and design factors. A global perspective upon human cultural production is used to analyze economic, political and social connections across historical and cultural borders. Basic graphic conventions of architectural representation, as well as fundamental principles of structure, materials and design will also be introduced. (Formerly ARTH 102) (CFPA; CGCL)
