COMP 431 - Wireless Networks and Security(3 credits) Prerequisite: COMP 250 with a grade of C- or higher; and COMP 361; or consent of instructor This course introduces wireless networking technologies with a focus on the network protocols and standards of wireless networks including cellular networks, wireless local area networks, and wireless ad hoc networks. Specifically, it will cover topics relevant to wireless network security, wireless communications, radio resource management, mobility management, wireless medium access control, wireless routing protocols, and wireless Transmission Control Protocol. Offered alternate years.
