COMP 407 - Embedded Systems(3 credits) Prerequisite: COMP 206 and COMP 250 The course covers the basics of embedded system hardware and firmware design, as well as the integration of sensors and devices. It will include programming and interfacing to embedded processors, such as the Atmega family, glue logic, circuit design and fabrication, FPGA boards, buses and interrupt handling. Communication protocols, such as RS-232, SPI and I2C, will also be addressed. The course will include a hardware lab. Additional fee required.
