COMP 351 - Windows Operating System Forensics

(3 credits)
Prerequisite: COMP 250 with a minimum grade of “C-“
This course provides fundamentals of the digital forensics knowledge and skills on Microsoft Windows Operating Systems. Students will learn how to acquire, explore, recover and analyze the forensics evidence on Microsoft Windows Operating System. Main topics include investigation on NTFS systems, Windows registry, Windows artifacts, volatile memory and web browsers, as well as python programming for security analysis.
