This course is an introduction to neuropsychology focusing on the behavioral deficits that arise from brain pathology. This pathology includes diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s as well as other brain-related conditions such as stroke, tumors and head injury. Through this course students will learn about the history of neuropsychology, details of brain anatomy, various neuropsychological assessments, and the examination of behavioral deficits and neuropsychological profiles associated with a variety of brain disorders and/or conditions. Offered fall and spring semesters.
