PSYC 269 - Psychology of Criminal Behavior(3 credits) Prerequisite: PSYC 100 or consent of instructor This class covers basic psychological knowledge about the causes of crime and violent crime. Topics include biological causes of crime, family and childrearing causes, social causes, cognitive biases, and psychological and psychiatric issues and the role they play in criminal behavior. Case studies are examined, and basic research is reviewed. Offered fall and spring semesters. (Formerly PSYC 369)
