MATH 144 - Applied Calculus for Business(3 credits) Prerequisite: MATH 140/140E with a “C-” or higher or MATH 150 with a “C-” or higher or a mathematics placement test This is a one-semester course in applied differential and integral calculus with emphasis on business applications. Topics to be covered include derivatives of algebraic, logarithmic and exponential functions, optimization problems, antiderivatives and the fundamental theorem of calculus, techniques of integration, functions of several variables and partial derivatives. This course does not satisfy mathematics major requirements. (CMAR)
