BIOL 328 - Stream Ecology(4 credits) Prerequisite: BIOL 225 with a minimum grade of “C-“; and MATH 141 or MATH 161/161E; and CHEM 131 or CHEM 141, which may be taken concurrently; or consent of instructor
Corequisite: BIOL 328L This course examines factors affecting the population size and distribution of aquatic organisms in streams and the biotic indices used to assess stream communities. Laboratory and field projects apply basic skills of organism identification, biotic indices and GIS to investigate aquatic communities of a local river. Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory weekly. Offered fall semester. (CWRM)
