ANTH 598 - Graduate Practicum(3-6 credits) Prerequisite: Formal application required. Students will undertake supervised anthropology projects using anthropological knowledge and methods to solve human social problems in real world settings. Students may work in organizations related to any of the anthropology subfields, such educational agencies/schools, museums, zoos, social service agencies, legal aid, civic and government organizations, regional and national NGOs, community organizing agencies, women’s centers, research organizations and other agencies. Students will be supervised in the agency and mentored by the instructor. As part of the course requirements, students are expected to produce a 20-page final research report of publishable/presentable quality. Repeatable: may earn a maximum of six credits.
