ENGL 269 - Topics in Children’s Literature(3 credits) Prerequisite: ENGL 102 Focusing on genre, period, author or topic, this writing intensive course allows students to gain an in-depth knowledge of a field or particular body of texts within children’s literature, including relevant critical histories. Areas of inquiry might include form and aesthetics, historical and cultural backgrounds, intertexuality, gender and sexuality, class, race and constructions of disability and able-bodiedness.
