CHEM 450 - Instrumental Analysis

(4 credits)
Prerequisite: CHEM 244 with a minimum grade of “C-“; and CHEM 351 with a minimum grade of “C-“; and CHEM 381, which may be taken concurrently
This course introduces students to modern methods of quantitative chemical analysis. Topics covered in the lecture and applied in the laboratory include experimental errors and statistical analysis, simple and complex equilibria, spectroscopy, electrochemistry and chemical separations. Three hours of lecture and one four-hour laboratory weekly. Offered spring semester. (CWRM)
