ARTS 260 - Graphic Design I(3 credits) Prerequisite: Any two studio foundation courses (ARTS 104, ARTS 125, ARTS 130, ARTS 140); or consent of instructor This course introduces the concepts and design principles of typography, page layout, and the fundamental relationship between type and image. Students develop skills and knowledge through a series of studio projects. Both traditional and digital tools are explored as means of problem-solving and creating visual structures that communicate a message with regard to content, aesthetics, composition and craft. Six hours per week. Offered fall semester. Additional fee required.
