Students who graduate with an undergraduate concentration in Accounting will be able to achieve the following learning outcomes (LOs) for each program learning goal (PLG) in support of RCOB LG 7:
PLG 1: Accounting Knowledge
Demonstrate fluency in the language of accounting, including terminology and application of accounting principles
LO 1.1 Select the appropriate accounting principles to determine the accounting for business transactions
LO 1.2 Prepare complete and accurate financial statements compliant with accounting principles and current practices
LO 1.3 Select the appropriate federal tax laws to apply in a variety of tax-related situations
PLG 2: Critical Thinking and Analytical Reasoning Skills
Demonstrate problem-solving and critical-thinking skills in applying tools and technology in accounting and financial analysis
LO 2.1 Utilize financial calculators, Excel spreadsheets, and other technology tools in accounting and financial analysis
LO 2.2 Use financial analysis techniques to evaluate business transactions and financial reports

Demonstrate proficiency in business communication and teamwork skills
