Economics Major Learning Outcomes

Economics majors will be able to:

  1. Identify and describe economic theory and terminology (remember)
  2. Explain the historical context of the economic theories and terminology in economics and other fields of study (understand)
  3. Apply economic theory to analyze human behavior and articulate the consequences of social policies (apply)
  4. Develop hypotheses, locate and analyze data concurrent with present economic practices (create and analyze)
  5. Evaluate economic theories and communicate findings in both written and oral presentations (synthesize)
