M.S. in Criminal Justice Program Learning Outcomes
- Critical Perspective-Students will recognize and understand the ways in which discrimination, oppression, privilege, and social and economic resources contribute to inequality in Criminal Justice System outcomes.
2. Ethical Reasoning-Students will understand and demonstrate the ability to understand and discuss complex social issues within a socially just ethical framework.
3. Theoretical Understanding-Apply theoretical understanding to complex social and criminological issues in order to critically evaluate or produce policy or research.
4. Methodology-Apply and understand various types of research methodology as appropriate for complex research and policy related questions.
5. Quantitative Skill-ability to consume and produce quantitative data in context.
6. Written Communication-Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas in writing, while choosing appropriate sources and using writing and citation formats that conform to the disciplinary standards.
